Barentsburg is a russian mining town 40 km from Longyearbyen.
Also it is so close, it takes 3 days of hiking or a boat to get there, there are no roads.
With 950 inhabitants, it is the second "town" of Svalbard. All inhabitants are russian or ukrainian, as the town belongs to ArticKugol, a russian mining company.
